Support Families in the Circles Program by Providing Dinner and Making a Lasting Impact

Support families in Open Doors’ Circles program by providing a nutritious meal! Circles empowers families to break the cycle of poverty. Those in our program have committed to a rigorous curriculum and attend weekly meetings to receive education and access to opportunities for growth.

Opportunities to serve every Thursday night; just sign up in advance by contacting Ina to make sure the date you want is available! Whether you serve one time or once per month, we’d love to have you join us! We ask that if you cook the meal instead of purchase food, that you have a food handler's permit.

How to Get Started:

1. Coordinate with your family, friends, workplace, or congregation to plan a meal for 30 people. If you can provide utensils, plates, and cups, that would be great, but is not required. Just let us know!

2. Sign up for a Thursday night to provide and serve the meal by contacting Ina at [icastillo@opendoorsutah.org](mailto:icastillo@opendoorsutah.org) or 541-435-4156.

3. Prepare and bring the meal to 525 E 200 S, Clearfield (Clearfield Community Church) on your assigned night. Our program is non-denominational, but the church lets us use their space.

4. Arrive by 5:00 to ensure that dinner is ready to serve at 5:30pm.

5. Serve the meal to our families and meet new friends! It is not required to stay, but our families would love to meet you and say thanks!

Some ideas if your mind’s gone blank:

- Pasta or lasagna, garlic bread, and salad
- Tacos with ground beef or shredded chicken, rice, beans, lettuce, cheese, and salsa
- Baked chicken with mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, and rolls
- Chili, cornbread, and fruit salad
- Build-your-own sandwich bar with deli meats, cheeses, and toppings with chips and fruit

Thank you for your generosity and willingness to serve! If you have any questions or need assistance organizing a meal, please contact us!
