Families face numerous challenges, and the Family Support Programs at Open Doors Utah are designed to offer parents the chance to rest, recharge, and access vital resources for both themselves and their children. These programs combine respite care, supportive services, and emergency assistance to provide a hand up—not a hand-out. Available to all families, regardless of income, these services ensure every parent can find the support they need to thrive.

Respite nursery

A Safe and Nurturing Space for Children

The Open Doors Respite Nursery offers parents a much-needed break while providing children with a safe, nurturing environment. Families can schedule time once a week for childcare, giving parents the opportunity to focus on their well-being. This service reduces parental stress and offers support before a crisis becomes necessary, helping families maintain balance and wellness.

Parent Education

We periodically offer parent education classes with the aim of assisting in family stability and letting parents feel more prepared to work with their children and help them develop. With enough advance arrangement, it may be possible for your children to use our nursery services while you attend the class.

Crisis Care

Sometimes, no matter how carefully you plan, the unexpected happens. When you need help and don’t know where to turn, this is where our Crisis Nursery can help. We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment for all children in our care until your crisis has passed. While we are NOT a daycare facility, we ARE available to help when you need extra support.
